Just a quick update

I thought that I would jump on here and give you all a quick update.  I have finished swatches 7 and 9, I finally after many issues figured out Kitchener on garter Stitch and sometime will share the technique along with the video that I found that helped me figure it out.  I don't know why anyone would ever want to do Kitchener and garter, well I guess I can think of a couple of reasons.  It was still annoying and troublesome to figure out.  I have finished my first round of edits on my history of knitting paper and now am working on draft 2.  I have found the areas that I need to expand upon and have also hit the minim page amount.  I am hoping to get draft 2 well underway this week so I can try to finish it by next weekend.  Well I am off for now need to get ready for bed so I can get enough sleep to get through my trying day tomorrow.

Finding Somethings Really Annoying

Sorry I did not get on last week, my husband took some surprise time off.  He didn't mean to take last weekend off, he thought that something that we want to go to was last weekend when in reality it is in February.  Which we are now in the first day of.  I have made some progress and should have made a ton more yesterday.  But I  am feeling slightly off, I cannot tell if I am getting a cold or fighting really, really bad allergies.  I have been finding it a little hard to breath and have a bit of a cough if I am not almost continually drinking.  Yesterday I consumed scary amounts of tea, and feel the need to down as much tea as I can before heading in to the office.  Though I will be taking tea supplies with me to work since I am feeling more then slightly off today. Enough ramblings of this nature.
Progress up-date:  I have finished all four book reviews.  That is right I said four.  Apparently when I was reading over everything before restarting my master's work I forgot how to read numbers.  The papers clearly said four and I read three, no matter.  I have all four written.  I still need to do editing on them, which is no biggie the hard part is done.
I am at a stand still with swatch number 9.  It is the garter stitch with short row and Kitchener seam. Yes dear reader you are reading that right garter stitch with Kitchener.  I am finding this extremely frustrating since I can not make my garter stitch with Kitchener look continuous which is the entire point of the exercise.  I can honestly say that once I get this figured out I will never ever use this skill again unless the master course forces me to. Out of all the seaming methods available to me I can honestly say that this one make no sense to use with garter stitch.  Honestly I would rather use a three needle bind off and think that it would look much better.  Ugh!  I don't know what I am doing wrong but I just have not been able to make this work.  Here is what I know dear reader, if on the back needle the purl right under the needle is facing me and I make the front needle also have the purl facing me the result should be one continuous looking piece of knitting.  I am getting that? no I am not. Why, you ask.  I have honestly no idea.  I really don't want to do more research on this subject I just want to finish it before work and then I want to go seam swatch 7 so that I can say that I have gotten two swatches done.
Well dear reader I apparently need to go off and look at garter stitch and Kitchener some more, good bye for now.  If I get this figured out soon I shall share it, more then likely on twitter first then here later.
